CREATIVE DIRECTION FOR MUSIC
Typically revolving around an album release — I work directly with the artist to define the narrative, key messaging and visual direction of the album. Working together with their management team, we align on budgets, deliverables, and deadlines then get to work producing all the creative that is needed. In addition to providing hands-on design work, I help hire, manage, and brief everyone involved from marketers, directors, illustrators, editors, animators, photographers and in-house label teams to ensure the artists vision is understood and all creative assets are cohesive.

The scope can extend to tour campaigns, merchandise lines, digital, OOH, brand partnerships and on-going support and consultation.
Timeline
An engagement for an album release starts at minimum 3-6 months prior to the release of the first single. This gives us a sufficient amount of time to dial in creative and get ahead of production & distribution deadlines.
EXPERIENCE

Focusing on brand strategy and identity for local, national and international clients. Being a tight team of 12 we share a lot of responsibilities. As a designer, I go back-and-forth between supporting & lead roles, participating in strategy sessions, developing & presenting creative.

Clients: Patagonia, Twitch, CCM Hockey, Ben & Jerry's, Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival, Higher Ground, W Hotels, Young the Giant, Pearl Izumi, Yara International, Vermont Farm Table.

Iskra is a non-profit screenprint studio dedicated to the practice, understanding, and appreciation of the printmaking arts. I’m ⅛ of a team of volunteers who help run the studio, teach classes, run the press, organize shows, make art and bring the community together.
